Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an entry level Underground Equipment Operator to support the construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. The role travels to various locations and may require cross-state travel.

Responsibilities include safe operation of underground equipment, assisting with transformer installation, fuse replacements, and following safety rules in live high voltage environments. Proficiency in English and ability to lift 50 lbs are required.

Qualifications

• 5-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver's License permit within 60 days of employment.
• A Commercial Driver's License is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair work of energized and de-energized underground.
• Assists with installing underground transformers.
• Assists in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits and systems.
• Capable of working around energized high voltage and following safety protocols.
• Maintains vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
