Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Underground Equipment Operator to support construction, maintenance, and repair of underground distribution systems at various sites. Travel to other states may be required based on customer needs.

The role involves handling energized systems, installing transformers, and performing routine equipment checks. The position emphasizes safety, physical capability for demanding labor, and adherence to PPE standards.

Qualifications

• 5-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License permit within 60 days of employment.

Responsibilities

• Work safely while performing new construction, maintenance or repair of underground distribution systems.
• Assist with installing underground transformers and replacing fuses in transformers.
• Capable of learning basic knowledge of materials used and identifying voltage on a circuit.
• Capable of working around energized high voltage systems and in heights or confined spaces.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and PPE and follow safety procedures.
