Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Underground Equipment Operator to support construction, maintenance and repair of underground distribution systems. This entry-level role travels to multiple sites and may require interstate travel depending on demand. You will assist with transformers, fuses, and high-voltage operations while following safety protocols.

The position requires physical stamina, English fluency, and CDL eligibility with willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Qualifications

• 5-year minimum of recent field experience.
• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to travel long distances on short notice.
• Capable of lifting 50 lbs and performing physical labor.
• Willing to work outside in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Assist with installation and repair of underground transformers.
• Support safe construction and maintenance of energized/de-energized systems.
• Inspect PPE and rubber goods; ensure proper tool use and safety.
• Identify primary/secondary voltages and understand grounding basics.
• Contribute to setup, rigging and operation of heavy equipment.
