Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking an entry-level Underground Equipment Operator to support construction, maintenance, and repair of underground distribution systems at various locations.

The role may require travel to another state based on customer demands. Responsibilities include assisting with transformer installations, fuse replacement, and operating or supporting heavy equipment, while maintaining PPE and tools and working in potentially inclement weather.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
• Willing to work outside in various weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on energised and de-energised underground systems during construction, maintenance or repair.
• Assist with installing underground transformers.
• Assist in replacing fuses in transformers and clears faulted circuits and systems.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Capable of working at heights and in confined spaces.
