Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking an Underground Equipment Operator to support construction, maintenance and repair of electrical underground distribution systems. This role involves work at multiple locations and possible travel to another state based on customer needs.

The position requires physical stamina, basic knowledge of electrical systems, and a strong commitment to safety rules. Candidates should be able to read and communicate in English and be prepared for varied weather and site

Qualifications

• Able to read and communicate effectively in English.
• Capable of identifying primary and secondary voltage on a circuit.
• Understand basic rigging and proper use of tools.
• Commitment to safety rules and PPE usage.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in various locations.

Responsibilities

• Work safely on energized and de-energized underground distribution systems.
• Assist with installing underground transformers and replacing fuses.
• Operate or assist with heavy equipment; learn equipment setup and grounding concepts.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and PPE in good condition; perform physical labor as required.
• Capable of lifting over 50 lbs and working in confined spaces or at heights.
