Job summary

JE Dunn is seeking a Traveling Superintendent 2 - Justice to plan, manage, and execute complex justice/Corrections projects nationwide. You will oversee material, equipment, people, and documentation to ensure timely, profitable completion, in alignment with JE Dunn’s strategy and values.

The role requires coordinating with owners, architects, and trade teams, leading safety initiatives, and driving project success across diverse sites. Extensive travel and flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering or related field preferred.
• 5+ years construction experience.
• 3+ years field supervision experience.
• Experience with Lean principles preferred.
• Prior experience working on large Justice/Corrections projects preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• May require periods of travel and/or relocation.
• May be exposed to extreme conditions.

Responsibilities

• Lead safety culture and promote an injury-free environment.
• Manage subcontractors and overall job workflow.
• Oversee staff, subcontractors, suppliers and programs (Safety, QA/QC, EEO).
• Develop work plans for subcontractors and self-performed work.
• Coordinate and manage project site care and control.
• Lead daily standup and weekly trade meetings.
• Attend progress and/or project OAC meetings.
• Create and adjust project schedule with Project Manager.
• Monitor budget and costs via cost reports and PM data.
• Communicate project information to owners, design team, suppliers and other departments.
• Support project closeouts and pre-punch activities.
• Participate in project pursuit and change negotiations.
