Job summary

ARCO/Murray National Construction is seeking a Traveling Superintendent for advanced technology and manufacturing projects in Downers Grove, IL. You will lead field operations, coordinate MEP trades, and manage complex construction schedules on a nationwide travel basis.

The role requires 5–15+ years in construction with strong leadership, safety focus, and proficiency in scheduling and MS Office. Travel will be extensive across data centers, manufacturing and mission-critical facilities.

Qualifications

• 5-15+ years of construction experience, with at least 5 years as Assistant Superintendent or Lead Superintendent on advanced manufacturing or mission-critical projects.
• Previous experience leading MEP trades on data center, battery storage, or manufacturing facility projects preferred.
• Computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs.

Responsibilities

• Attend post-award review meeting to receive project information and preplanning details.
• Prepare a schedule of construction activities, organization structure, staff, and equipment requirements.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specs and schedule while ensuring profit.
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate with project schedules and progress.
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors of schedule changes promptly.
