Job summary

ARCO a Family of Construction Companies seeks a highly skilled Traveling Superintendent to lead complex buildouts including advanced manufacturing and data-center facilities. You will oversee MEP coordination, manage schedules, and drive projects to meet tight deadlines while ensuring safety and quality.

The role requires 5–15+ years in supervision on mission-critical sites, strong Word/Excel/Outlook skills, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 5-15+ years' of construction experience, with at least 5 of those years as an Assistant Superintendent or Lead Superintendent on advanced manufacturing or mission critical projects required.
• Previous experience leading MEP trades on data center, battery storage, or manufacturing facility projects strongly preferred.
• Computer skills: proficiency in using Word, Excel, Outlook, and project scheduling programs
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver license in your state of residence
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job, including standing or walking for long periods, uneven terrain, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing stairs, and lifting heavy loads up to 50 pounds

Responsibilities

• Attend the post-award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning before construction.
• Participate with the project manager in preparing a schedule of construction activities and their sequence, organization structure, staff selection, and resource requirements.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specifications and within the allotted time to maximize profit
• Assist in the activities of the project manager/engineer in shipments, approvals of shop drawings and samples
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate with project schedules and progress
• Inform supervisors and subcontractors promptly of schedule changes
• Assist in preparing job progress and cost reports to reflect actual costs
• Review and approve requisitions, field purchase orders, invoices, and other significant reports
• Cooperate with owner representatives and architects to align project goals
• Hold site meetings with PM and regional manager; report progress and issues affecting costs or schedules
• Maintain a daily diary of significant project facts, events, and approvals
• Direct adherence to safety program across all phases
• Demonstrate leadership, organize teams, and address conflicts
• Exhibit commitment to quality and customer satisfaction
