Job summary

ARCO Companies in Downers Grove, IL, seeks an experienced Traveling Superintendent for mission critical construction. This role leads light industrial/data center projects, coordinating field operations and schedules from day one, with heavy emphasis on safety and quality.

The ideal candidate has 5–15+ years in construction, experience with MEP trades, and a valid driver’s license. Expect travel, comprehensive benefits, and a competitive compensation package.

Qualifications

• 5-15+ years' construction experience, with at least 5 years as Foreman/Asst Superintendent/Lead Superintendent on light industrial or mission critical projects.
• Previous experience leading MEP trades on data center, battery storage, or manufacturing facility projects strongly preferred.
• Possess and maintain a current, valid driver license in your state of residence.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the job including standing/walking long periods, etc.

Responsibilities

• Attend the post-award review meeting to receive project information and details for preplanning.
• Prepare a schedule of construction activities, organization structure, staff, and manpower/equipment requirements.
• Direct and control the total construction project to meet specs and schedule efficiently.
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate with project schedules.
• Maintain a daily diary recording significant project facts and approvals.
• Adhere to the company’s safety program in all phases and areas of the project.
