Job summary

ARCO is seeking a Traveling Superintendent for Advanced Technology & Manufacturing in Downers Grove, IL. The role leads construction on complex facilities, coordinating MEP trades and maintaining schedule discipline.

Ideal candidates bring 5–15+ years of site leadership on manufacturing or data center projects, with strong safety focus and cost awareness. Generous compensation and travel benefits are provided.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction experience including leadership roles on complex manufacturing/advanced technology projects.
• Experience coordinating MEP trades on data center/manufacturing facilities preferred.
• Must have valid driver's license and ability to meet physical demands.

Responsibilities

• Attend post-award review meetings to receive project information and preplanning details.
• Help prepare project schedules, organize staff, and determine manpower and equipment needs.
• Direct construction activities to meet specifications and schedule while maintaining profitability.
• Coordinate subcontractors to integrate work with project timelines and budgets.
• Maintain daily site diary recording major events, decisions, and changes.
• Review requisitions, field PO's, invoices, and other reports for accuracy.
• Report progress and issues to the project manager and regional manager.
• Uphold ARCO safety programs and drive safe work practices.
• Collaborate with owners, architects, and representatives to align on project goals.
• Lead job-site meetings with PM and regional manager to communicate progress.
