Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in ensuring installations meet plans and specifications. This national group requires relocation to the project site; the stated location does not reflect the project location.

You will review shop drawings, analyze constructability, coordinate meetings, prepare weekly progress reports, update schedules, assist in bidding, and support safety practices on site.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of experience with a commercial general contractor or internship preferred.
• Good written and oral communication skills; clear, organized writing.
• Familiarity with Word and Excel; ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers to ensure work installed meets plan and specification requirements.
• Review shop drawings and submittals for compliance and constructability.
• Coordinate meetings and distribute minutes; publish weekly progress reports.
