Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers to ensure that work installed on the project meets plan and specification requirements. This position requires relocation to the project site; the stated location does not reflect the project location.

The successful candidate will review plans, shop drawings, and submittals, help update schedules, and assist in bidding and scope development for trade contractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 1+ year of experience with a commercial general contractor or internship preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills and ability to express ideas clearly.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Managers to ensure work installed meets plan and specification requirements.
• Reviews shop drawings and submittals and coordinates with the project team.
• Updates project schedules and supports bidding and scope development for trade contractors.
