Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in delivering work that meets plans and specifications on national projects. This role requires relocation to the project site and active coordination with owners, architects, and subcontractors.

You will review drawings, update schedules, prepare reports, and help with bidding and scope development, while ensuring safety and quality across all activities. Familiarity with OSHA rules is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 1+ year of commercial GC experience or internship preferred.
• Strong written and spoken communication skills and ability to collaborate.

Responsibilities

• Assist Project Managers to ensure work meets plans and specifications.
• Review shop drawings, submittals, and plans for constructability and value.
• Prepare and update project schedules and progress reports.
• Help in bidding and scope development for trade contractors.
• Support field teams with documentation, meetings, and meetings minutes.
