Job summary

William Charles Electric, a MasTec Company, seeks Project Managers I or II to oversee HV substation and transmission line construction within renewables markets. You will manage safety, schedules, budgets, procurements, and documentation from pre-construction through project closeout.

Travel rotation involves three work weeks with a four-day cycle; per diem provided plus company vehicle and fuel card. On-site with Midwest focus, and potential Eastern/Western assignments.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent; a related Bachelor's preferred; combined education/experience considered.
• PM I requires 3–5 years HV substation/transmission line construction experience.
• PM II requires 5+ years HV substation/transmission line construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Establish site specific safety requirements with safety team.
• Establish a Project Execution Plan with pre-construction and operations personnel.
• Financial monitoring and reporting including cost and revenue projections; maintain project records.
• Procurement management including on-site management, receiving, progress reporting, invoicing, and cost management.
• Submit monthly cost-to-complete projections.
• Pre-construction planning and estimation review.
• Review and procure necessary permits or licenses.
• Maintain project documentation: submittals, RFIs, minutes, work plans.
• Communicate with contracting party's and owner's representatives.
• Closeout: final documentation, invoicing, retainage release.
• Build relationships in local marketplaces.
• Interact with project team, business leaders, and management.
