Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services seeks Herbicide Applicator Technicians to spray right of ways, roadsides, and to trim vegetation using spray trucks, ATVs, and backpack gear.

You will be trained in spray calibration, weed/grass knowledge, chemical safety, and DOT inspections, with travel up to 4–6 weeks per assignment. Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel are required; a pesticide license can be obtained after hire.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license with 5 years clean MVR.
• Must be able to travel 4–6 weeks at a time (hotel paid, per diem).
• Herbicide application experience preferred or not required; license within 90 days if hired.

Responsibilities

• Spray herbicides on right of ways and roadsides, remove weeds, trim and cut grass and brush.
• Calibrate spray equipment and maintain spray system accuracy.
• Complete all DOT required truck inspections and keep the truck and gear clean.
• Train in safety, chemicals used, and their effects to meet customer expectations.
