Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking motivated Herbicide Applicator Technicians to spray right of ways, roadsides, and manage weed and brush control with trucks, ATVs, and backpack sprayers. You will be trained in calibration, weed/grass knowledge, and chemical safety to meet customer expectations.

Requirements include 21+ years old, a valid driver's license with a clean MVR, and the ability to travel up to 4–6 weeks.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Valid driver’s license with 5 years clean MVR.
• Pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must be able to travel away from home for 4–6 weeks (hotel paid, per diem).
• Herbicide application experience preferred but not required.
• Commercial Pesticide Applicators license Category C6 preferred but must be obtained within 90 days.
• Agricultural/landscaping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Spray right of way, roadsides, remove weeds, trim and cut grass and brush using spray truck, ATV, backpack sprayer, or hose.
• Complete all DOT-required truck inspections; identify and troubleshoot spray system issues or needed repairs.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized at all times.
• Be trained to calibrate all spray equipment.
• Learn basic weed, grass, and brush types, and how chemicals control them.
• Understand methods and safety requirements to meet customer expectations.
