Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) seeks a Herbicide Applicator Technician to spray right of ways and maintain weed control using a spray truck, ATV, backpack sprayer, or hose. Training includes equipment calibration and safety with customer expectations in mind.

Must be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and able to pass pre-employment DOT screenings; travel 4–6 weeks is required, with hotel covered and per-diem provided.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required with 5 years clean MVR.
• Must be able to travel away from home for up to 4–6 weeks at a time.
• Commercial Pesticide Applicators license: Category C6, but not required; must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete all DOT required truck inspections.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized.
• Calibrate spray equipment.
• Understand weed, grass, and brush types.
• Know methods and chemicals used and safety requirements to meet customer expectations.
