Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services is seeking Herbicide Applicator Technicians to spray right of ways, roadsides, remove weeds, trim and cut grass using spray trucks, ATVs, backpack sprayers, or hoses.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or Equivalent, 21+ years old, valid driver’s license, and pre-employment DOT screenings. Willingness to travel 4–6 weeks, with hotel and per-diem provided. Experience is preferred but not required; license within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 21+ years of age.
• A valid driver's license required (5 years clean MVR).
• Pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check.
• Must be able to travel away from home for up to 4–6 weeks at a time (hotel paid, per-diem).
• Herbicide application experience preferred but not required.
• Commercial Pesticide Applicators Category C6 preferred but not required; license must be obtained within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Complete all DOT required truck inspections and address issues.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized.
• Train to calibrate all spray equipment.
• Train in weed, grass, and brush types and safety requirements.
• Adhere to methods and chemicals used and meet customer expectations.
