Job summary

DeAngelo Contracting Services (DCS) is seeking highly motivated Herbicide Applicator Technicians responsible for spraying right aways, roadsides, removing weeds, trimming, and cutting grass and brush using a spray truck, ATV, backpack sprayer, or by dragging a hose.

We offer compensation of $21–$25 per hour, travel up to 4–6 weeks at a time with hotel provided, per-diem, and a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision and prescription drug coverage, plus generous paid time off and

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
• 21+ years of age or older.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with 5 years clean MVR.
• Pre-employment DOT drug screen, physical, and background check required.
• Must be able to travel away from home for up to 4–6 weeks at a time (hotel paid by DCS).
• Herbicide application experience preferred but not required.
• Commercial Pesticide Applicators license preferred: Category C6, but not required (obtainable within 90 days).
• Agricultural/landscaping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Spray right of ways, roadsides, weeds, grass, and brush using spray truck, ATV, backpack sprayer, or hose.
• Complete all DOT truck inspections and troubleshoot spray system issues.
• Keep truck and equipment clean and organized.
• Calibrate spray equipment and understand weed/grass/brush types.
• Meet customer expectations with safety requirements and best practices.
