Job summary

Johnson Controls, through Silent-Aire, seeks a Field Service Technician to support commissioning and after-sales service for data center cooling equipment. You will work unsupervised on customer sites, travel to locations, and ensure tasks are completed accurately.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, an apprentice in Electrical or HVAC, travel readiness up to 70%, and the ability to read electrical drawings, explain technical issues, and stay compliant with safety and NDA rules.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Registered apprentice in Electrical or HVAC.
• Willing to travel up to 70%.
• Basic understanding of electrical and control systems and HVAC concepts.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Possess a valid passport/driver’s license.
• Ability to lift 40lbs and work at heights.
• Experience in Industrial or field environments.

Responsibilities

• Check in with Manager after the end of each workday in the field.
• Complete all company forms daily and file them properly.
• Perform daily scheduled tasks and field duties.
• Check in with client at start and end of each day.
• Obtain client signatures on forms where applicable.
• Use Time Clocks and ADP app to log hours.
• Secure parts and tools and document expenses.
• Assist other Field Technicians as needed.
• Follow safety and NDA policies at all times.
