Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, seeks an engineering technician to support large-scale mechanical systems in mission-critical facilities. You will read electrical, control, and mechanical blueprints, install refrigeration components, and troubleshoot HVAC equipment, collaborating with field teams and customers.

Travel to customer sites is required; you will work with design, QA, and manufacturing engineering to optimize products, maintain safety standards, and ensure high-quality

Qualifications

• Must read, understand and work from blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of cooling/refrigeration equipment and systems.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical, control and mechanical blueprints, drawings, and other specifications.
• Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components using hand and power tools.
• Measure and lay out reference points for installation and piping alignment.
• Measure and cut piping and connect piping using welding and brazing equipment.
• Start up system and test for leaks; recharge refrigerant and calibrate.
• Troubleshoot PLC-based Custom Controls and HVAC equipment on site.
