Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, seeks an engineering technician to support large-scale HVAC systems in data-center environments. You will read blueprints, install refrigeration components, and troubleshoot PLC-based controls, working between field assignments and our manufacturing teams.

Travel is required to customer sites; must have a valid driver's license and a high school diploma. You will help uphold safety standards and coordinate with internal/external stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver's license and be able to travel to field sites.
• High school diploma or GED required; technical training a plus.
• Knowledge of cooling/refrigeration equipment, electrical and control systems.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical, control and mechanical blueprints and specifications.
• Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components; measure and lay out points.
• Troubleshoot and repair HVAC/refrigeration equipment and PLC-based controls.
• Communicate technical issues clearly to technical and non-technical staff.
• Travel to field sites and support manufacturing teams to optimize products.
