Job summary

Silent-Aire, a division of Johnson Controls, seeks an Engineering Technician to work on large-scale mechanical systems and CRAHU installations for data center facilities. You will collaborate with design, QA, and manufacturing teams to deliver reliable cooling solutions.

The role involves field interfacing with customers and manufacturing teams, with travel to client sites and an emphasis on safe, precise execution of installation and commissioning tasks.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of large-scale mechanical/infrastructure systems and mission-critical facilities.
• Experience with start-up and commissioning at customer sites is desirable.
• Ability to read, interpret, and work from blueprints and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret electrical, control and mechanical blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Assemble and install refrigeration or air conditioning components using hand and power tools.
• Measure and lay out reference points for installation.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC/refrigeration equipment.
• Start up systems and test for leaks; recharge and calibrate systems.
• Communicate technical issues to internal/external stakeholders.
