Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Field Service Technician to support commissioning and after-sales services at customer sites. The role requires strong electrical and HVAC knowledge, the ability to read mechanical drawings, and performance of field tasks with minimal supervision.

Travel up to 70% is required to domestic and international locations. You will work with a collaborative team and adhere to safety and NDA policies while ensuring accurate reporting and documentation of all

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent GED certificate.
• Registered apprentice in Electrical or HVAC with hands-on field experience preferred.
• Willing to travel up to 70% to customer sites (domestic/international).
• Understand basic electrical/control systems and how to manage air handling/temperature/humidity.
• General knowledge of HVAC and mechanical systems; ability to read schematics and drawings.
• Proficient with Windows and Microsoft Office; able to document and report work clearly.

Responsibilities

• Check in with Manager after each workday in the field.
• Complete company forms during/at end of each day/job.
• Perform daily scheduled tasks and client site check-ins.
• Obtain client signatures on forms when required.
• Log time using Time Clocks/ADP app and submit paperwork.
• Maintain parts/tools and ensure proper documentation of materials.
• Assist Field Technicians and respond to inquiries promptly.
• Communicate with supervisor on status and issues; escalate as needed.
• Provide training and support to junior Field Service Technicians.
