Job summary

BD is seeking a Field Service Engineer 1 who will operate in a field-based capacity with daily travel to customer sites within the assigned territory. The role requires residency within a 30-mile radius of the base location; a company vehicle is provided and overnight travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems and government facilities.
• Respond to, evaluate, prioritize, and resolve work orders within service-level expectations.
• Diagnose and repair proprietary hardware and software components with full case ownership.
• Independently troubleshoot complex issues and escalate to Senior/Lead FSEs as needed.
• Perform preventive maintenance, installations, calibrations, and general technical support.
• Maintain accurate inventory of spare parts and properly maintain company assets.
