Job summary

BD in San Diego seeks a Field Service Engineer 1 to service automated dispensing systems across the territory. The role requires on-site visits, routine maintenance, and travel up to 80% with a company vehicle provided and a valid driver’s license.

You will troubleshoot hardware/software, install updates, document activities, and support government accounts while upholding quality and safety standards.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of combined hardware, software, and IT support experience.
• Eligibility to access Federal Government Facilities (DoD, DHA, VA, etc.) including badges.
• Strong troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, customer service, and documentation abilities.
• Willingness to travel and meet driving requirements, incl. overnight travel.

Responsibilities

• Provide remote and on-site technical support for automated dispensing systems.
• Respond to, prioritize, and resolve work orders within SLAs.
• Diagnose and repair hardware/software components with case ownership.
• Troubleshoot complex issues and escalate to senior staff when needed.
• Support government accounts requiring CAC eligibility.
