Job summary

TRUNO Retail Technology Solutions is seeking a Field Installation Technician to help build, maintain, and troubleshoot our infrastructure. You will install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems and tools, analyze site conditions, and work with on-site users to determine requirements.

The role requires extensive travel, independent decision-making, and a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Bachelor's degree (preferred).
• One to three years related experience and/or training or equivalent.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products (required).
• Experience in general retail, grocery, and/or foodservice industries (preferred).
• Point of Sale and networking experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Perform staging activities: system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting with customers and developers.
• Analyze site conditions and system requirements; develop installation plans with on-site users.
• Test and validate equipment connections and functionality for proper installation.
• Liaise with vendors and IT staff for problem resolution.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of installation and setup processes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Document service and installation actions in reports and logs.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to verify equipment for installs.
• Travel to home office for training and product education.
• Maintain customer confidence by keeping information confidential.
• Provide service, support, installation, and training as needed.
• Make independent on-site decisions about system implementation.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and early mornings.
