Job summary

TRUNO, Retail Technology Solutions, is seeking a Field Installation Technician to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot a expanding retail tech infrastructure. You will travel regularly to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair machines and related equipment, while configuring OS and management tools and consulting with on-site users.

In this role you will analyze site conditions, determine system requirements, and make independent on-site decisions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred.
• 1–3 years relevant experience; familiarity with retail, grocery, or foodservice is a plus.
• Experience with POS and networking is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Perform staging: system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting with customers and developers.
• Analyze site conditions and requirements; develop and execute installation plans.
• Test and validate equipment connections for proper installations.
• Liaise with vendors and IT staff for issue resolution.
• Support continuous improvement of install/setup processes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Document service actions, expense logs, and installation reports.
• Travel weekly to training sites and customer locations as needed.
• Provide on-site service, support, installation, and training when required.
• Make independent site decisions on system implementation.
