Job summary

TRUNO Retail Technology Solutions is seeking a Field Installation Technician to build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our expanding retail infrastructure. The role involves installing and configuring operating systems and software, testing equipment, and coordinating with customers and vendors.

Travel is frequent, including potential extended trips to home offices, with a flexible schedule that may involve weekends or nights.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or equivalent; bachelor's preferred.
• 1–3 years of related experience or training; retail/grocery experience preferred.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.

Responsibilities

• Perform staging activities including configuration, testing, and troubleshooting with customers and developers.
• Analyze site conditions and consult with on-site users to develop installation plans.
• Test and validate equipment connections and functionality for proper installation.
• Liaise with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Assist in improving installation and setup processes.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Document service and installation actions with reports and logs.
• Coordinate with warehouse staff to verify equipment for installs.
• Travel to home office for training and product updates.
• Maintain customer rapport and confidentiality of service information.
• Provide service, support, installation, and training as needed.
• Make independent on-site decisions about system implementation.
• Work a flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and early mornings.
