Job summary

Truno is seeking a Field Installation Technician to help build out, maintain, and troubleshoot our infrastructure. The role involves frequent travel to install, service, troubleshoot, and repair machines and related equipment.

The technician will manage and monitor systems, install and test operating systems, configuration, and tools, and work with on-site users to determine requirements. The position requires independent decision-making and a flexible schedule, including weekends and nights.

Responsibilities

• Perform staging activities, including system configuration, testing, and troubleshooting in coordination with customers and developers.
• Analyze site conditions and system requirements, consult with on-site users to develop and execute installation plans.
• Test and validate equipment connections and functionality to ensure proper installation.
• Liaise with vendors and IT personnel for problem resolution.
• Assist in improving the installation and setup process.
• Maintain security, backup, and redundancy strategies.
• Document service and installation actions via forms/reports and logs.
• Travel for continued training and specialized product training.
• Maintain rapport with customers, examine complaints, and propose improvements.
• Provide on-site service, support, installation, and training as needed.
• Make independent on-site decisions regarding system implementation.
• Work a schedule that may include weekends, nights, and early mornings.
