Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking Field Engineers to monitor and inspect large-scale wind and solar projects across the United States. The role requires coordinating QA/QC activities, ensuring conformance with designs, and producing detailed daily reports on quantities and resources used.

Career levels I–III offer compensation aligned with experience, opportunities for field rotations, and comprehensive benefits including retirement and health coverage. This is a travel-heavy, field-based position.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferred.
• 2+ years' experience in related construction field (Field Engineer I/II)
• SWPPP inspector program certification or ability to obtain within training window

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect and ensure quality of work on wind/solar projects.
• Determine conformance with design documents and review inspection tests.
• Prepare Daily Reports with quantities and resources used.
• Maintain QA/QC compliance and record keeping across field activities.
• Interface with construction managers to report progress and issues.
• Assist in creating operations/maintenance manuals and turnover.
• Mentor junior inspectors and support field team as needed.
