Job summary

MasTec Renewables seeks a traveling Quality Inspector to independently inspect and monitor construction activities across wind and solar projects in the US. You will notify project management of issues and document completion per project specs.

Expect up to 100% travel, 8–12 months per project, per diem, and a monthly vehicle and phone allowance. Rotate home visits and base pay are provided as part of the role.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent and 2 or more years’ experience in related construction field.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during daily construction activities on large-scale wind and/or solar projects.
• Determine that construction work conforms to design documents.
• Review tests and inspection reports to ensure tests are completed and communicate failures to Field Quality Manager.
• Ensure materials conform to approved submittals, purchase orders, and data for job-site specifications.
• Perform basic to moderate surveying and measuring to check line, grade and dimensions.
