Job summary

MasTec Renewables, part of a broad renewables portfolio, seeks a traveling Quality Inspector for wind and solar projects. You will inspect field activities, ensure conformance with design documents, review tests, and support QA/QC through daily reporting and issue resolution.

Responsibilities include coordinating with Field Quality Manager, maintaining safety standards, and assisting in manuals and tool calibration. This role requires travel 100% and flexibility for rotations across sites.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferred
• High School graduate or equivalent and 2 or more years’ experience in related construction field
• Must be capable of completing and passing the local or state certified SWPPP inspector program and have working knowledge of SWPPP project management plan

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all Company safety policies and procedures
• Inspect and ensure the quality of work performed during daily construction activities on wind/solar projects
• Determine that construction work conforms with design documents
• Review tests and inspection reports and communicate failures to Field Quality Manager
• Ensure materials comply with approved submittals and job site specs
• Record field data and prepare comprehensive daily reports
• Interface with construction managers to report progress and coordinate field operations
• Assist in compiling information for operations and maintenance manuals
• May assist in calibration validation and use of QA/QC tools
• Maintain driving record and comply with MasTec site safety standards
