Job summary

MasTec Renewables is seeking a Field Inspector to independently inspect and monitor construction activities for wind and solar projects across the United States. This traveling role requires up to 100% travel with rotations home, per diem, and a monthly vehicle/phone allowance.

You will verify conformance with design documents, review tests, document QC data, and coordinate with the Field Quality Manager to ensure QA/QC standards are met on site.

Qualifications

• Associates or Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil, Mechanical Engineering or related degree preferred.
• High School graduate or equivalent with 2+ years of related construction experience.
• Must complete SWPPP inspector program and have working knowledge of SWPPP project management plan.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Inspect and ensure quality of daily construction activities on wind/solar projects.
• Determine that construction work conforms to design documents.
• Review tests and inspection reports and communicate failures to the Field Quality Manager.
• Ensure materials meet approved submittals and job specifications.
• Perform basic surveying and measurement of lines, grades and dimensions.
• Record QC data and prepare daily reports with quantities and resources used.
• Create and manage punch lists for field work and address deficiencies promptly.
• Assist in compiling information for operations and maintenance manuals.
