Job summary

MasTec Renewables, comprising Wanzek Construction, IEA Constructors, and White Construction, seeks a Field Quality Manager to lead onsite QA/QC across renewable energy projects in the US. You will manage the Site-Specific Quality Plan, mentor inspectors, and coordinate quality activities with project teams; generous per diem, company vehicle, and a rotational program support travel across sites.

You will be stationed onsite at project locations for 8–16 months per project, traveling up to 100%

Qualifications

• Knowledge of site QA/QC procedures and standards.
• Ability to mentor QA/QC inspectors and field staff.
• Experience reading and interpreting plans and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Manage the Site-Specific Quality Plan and ensure workmanship meets requirements.
• Read and understand plans and specifications (visualize drawings in 3D).
• Develop understanding of contract plans and specifications for assigned work.
• Inspect field conditions; identify issues and take corrective actions.
• Mentor QA/QC inspectors in field duties.
• Produce Monthly Project Quality Report; cosign with Site Manager.
• Coordinate quality plan implementation during site walks and meetings.
• Plan and perform field inspections and tests aligned with construction schedule.
• Conduct weekly quality audits for each project scope.
• Provide QA/QC training to supervision and craftsmen.
• Develop instructions for project activities to supplement planning.
