Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a highly experienced traveling Superintendent to oversee daily on-site operations across assigned projects nationwide. You will manage scheduling, procurement, manpower, and subcontractors, ensuring safety, quality, and schedule adherence from mobilization through project closeout.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field, 5+ years on large-scale commercial builds, strong leadership, and excellent communication.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years on large-scale, ground-up commercial projects; light industrial preferred.
• Knowledge of construction processes and blueprints; valid driver's license and travel willingness.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily job-site operations, including scheduling, production, and procurement.
• Coordinate pre-construction activities with Project Manager and mobilization.
• Direct procurement of tools/materials to align with schedules and budgets.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance; communicate progress to clients and subs.
• Manage labor cost with crew assignments and mobility between projects.
