Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a traveling Superintendent to oversee daily site operations on projects nationwide. You will manage scheduling, production, procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment, while supervising all direct labor on site.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in construction management or related field and 5+ years of large-scale commercial construction experience, with travel across the country. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience with large-scale, ground-up construction.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Reads blueprints and understands building codes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily job-site operations, including scheduling, production, procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment.
• Supervise all direct labor on the project and manage contracted work for timely completion.
• Coordinate with Project Manager to develop and monitor look-ahead schedules and progress.
• Ensure safety, quality, and housekeeping standards are maintained.
• Communicate progress and issues to clients, subcontractors, and team members.
