Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a traveling Superintendent to oversee daily job-site operations across multiple projects nationwide. You will manage scheduling, production, procurement of materials, and supervision of direct labor and subcontractors.

The role requires a Bachelor's in construction management (or equivalent), 5+ years in large-scale commercial construction, strong leadership, and the ability to travel. A valid driver's license and CMiC experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field or equivalent combination.
• 5+ years of experience with large-scale ground-up commercial construction projects; light industrial experience preferred.
• Has a valid driver's license and can travel to project sites.
• Understands building codes and reads blueprints.
• Strong communication and organizational skills; translates into effective supervision.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation of a job site, including scheduling, production, and material procurement.
• Supervise direct labor and contracted work to ensure project completion.
• Coordinate with Project Manager on schedules and look-ahead planning.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to meet work schedules.
• Maintain safety, quality standards, and housekeeping across the site.
• Lead meetings with subs, clients, and craft personnel to resolve issues.
