Job summary

Layton Construction in Utah seeks a Project Manager/Construction Planner to develop and manage a comprehensive job plan for assigned projects. You will review plans, coordinate with architects and owners, procure tools and labor, and monitor progress to ensure on-time completion while maintaining safety and quality standards.

You will work under the Site Superintendent and Project Manager, moving personnel between projects to optimize resources and manage costs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Good problem solving and organizational abilities.
• Ability to manage personnel issues and schedule resources.
• Knowledge of building codes and blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage a job plan including schedule, access, and manpower.
• Review plans and specifications to understand job requirements.
• Procure tools, labor, and some materials.
• Coordinate with architects, owners, and subcontractors prior to mobilization.
• Monitor progress, adjust schedules, and report to supervision.
• Ensure work conforms to specifications and safety policies.
• Prepare Project Management Plan with Project Manager.
