Layton Construction Company is seeking a Superintendent to manage daily site operations, including scheduling, production, and procurement of materials, manpower, and equipment. This role supervises direct labor and contracted work to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field is required.
• Strong knowledge of construction processes and ability to read blueprints.

Responsibilities

• Studies specifications to plan procedures for construction, basing on times and staffing for each phase.
• Determines project schedule with Project Manager and uses look-ahead schedules to track progress.
• Directs procurement of tools and materials to meet work schedules.
• Ensures all parties are informed of construction issues and progress; coordinates with stakeholders.
• Inspects ongoing work to ensure conformance with specs and schedule.
• Manages the project using progress reports, materials used, and costs; adjusts schedules as needed.
• Assists in preparing the Project Management Plan with Project Manager.
