Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Superintendent capable of directing daily job-site operations, scheduling, production, and procurement. You will supervise direct labor, oversee contracted work, and ensure project completion while traveling to project locations nationwide.

The role requires strong leadership, communication, and a solid understanding of construction processes, with a valid driver's license and willingness to travel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of ground-up commercial project experience, especially light industrial/cold storage.
• Valid driver's license with ability to travel to project sites.
• Knowledge of building codes and blueprint reading.

Responsibilities

• Plan procedures and staffing from specifications and schedules.
• Develop and use look-ahead schedules with the Project Manager.
• Coordinate pre-construction meetings and mobilization.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to fit work schedules.
• Communicate with clients, subs, and craft personnel on progress and issues.
