Job summary

Layton Construction seeks a Superintendent to manage daily job site operations, supervise direct labor, coordinate procurement, and oversee contracted work to meet project goals. The role requires full-time travel to project locations nationwide.

You will work with Project Management to maintain schedules, balance labor costs, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Previous experience in ground-up commercial projects is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial construction projects.
• Solid knowledge of construction processes and codes.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.
• Reads blueprints accurately and understands subcontractor scopes.

Responsibilities

• Plan procedures based on specifications, timelines, and staffing needs.
• Develop and utilize look-ahead schedules with Project Manager.
• Direct procurement of tools and materials to meet schedules.
• Coordinate meetings with Project Manager, subs, and clients on progress.
• Ensure safety policies and quality standards are followed on site.
