Job summary

Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee ground-up commercial projects across the United States. The role requires full-time travel and on-site presence at project locations, with the project location not reflecting the posting location.

The PM will manage planning, procurement, scheduling, budgets, and execution, aiming for profitability and owner satisfaction through predictable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Candidate has 5+ years on ground-up commercial projects.
• Understanding of estimating concepts for bids and change orders.
• Knowledge of construction laws, contracts, and building codes.

Responsibilities

• Deliver predictable project outcomes for internal and external teams.
• Lead the project team in PMP and pre-construction activities.
• Prepare budgets, manage procurement, and schedule milestones.
• Negotiate subcontracts and change orders; manage cost impacts.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance on site.
• Maintain client relationships and provide regular project updates.
