Layton Construction is seeking a Project Manager to oversee the planning, management, procurement, scheduling, and execution of construction projects. This role may handle multiple projects, aiming to maximize profitability while delivering high quality and safe outcomes.

The PM will work closely with the Superintendent, prepare PMP, assist with estimates and budgets, manage procurement, and ensure client satisfaction through effective communication and performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial projects, particularly in light industrial/cold storage.
• Understands estimating concepts to verify bids and process change orders.
• Understands contracting language and construction laws.
• Familiar with building codes, plans, blueprints and specs.
• Effective team member with delegation skills.
• Strong verbal and written presentation abilities.

Responsabilités

• Collaborate with the Superintendent to ensure project delivery and client relationships.
• Assist in preparing estimates and project budgets.
• Lead PMP development and pre-award/pre-construction meetings.
• Participate in value engineering and subcontract negotiations.
• Prepare project schedule and milestones with the Superintendent.
• Manage procurement and ensure alignment with budget and schedule.
• Monitor quantity, cost, safety, quality, and schedule on site.
• Negotiate change orders and manage cost/profit impact.
• Prepare monthly client pay requests and follow up on collections.
• Oversee closeout procedures and as-built documentation.
• Coordinate with Estimating for cost data in the database.
• Manage client meetings and relationships.
