Job summary

Layton Construction seeks an experienced Project Manager to oversee ground-up commercial projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and execution. You will coordinate with superintendents, estimators, and clients to deliver on-time, on-budget outcomes with a focus on safety and quality.

The role requires 5+ years in related projects, strong communication, and the ability to negotiate and manage multiple stakeholders across site locations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in construction management or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in ground-up commercial projects.
• Understanding of estimating concepts and market rates.
• Familiarity with construction laws, codes, plans, and specifications.
• Ability to work in a team and delegate tasks effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, management, scheduling, and execution of construction projects.
• Prepare estimates, budgets, and manage project costs and pay requests.
• Develop PMP and coordinate pre-award and pre-construction meetings.
• Negotiate change orders and manage subcontracts and permits.
• Maintain client relationships and report progress and risk.
• Ensure safety, quality, and compliance with project requirements.
• Coordinate with Estimating for cost data and with accounting for closeout.
