Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a night-shift Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week assignment in Latrobe, PA. Active PA or Compact RN license is required, with at least 1 year of experience and BLS, CCM or CPI certifications. Night shifts are 19:00–07:30 with hospital-wide floating within a 10-mile radius.

Travelers meeting criteria may receive travel-rate benefits; non-local candidates only. Fingerprinting and drug screens must be completed quickly, with all compliance cleared before start.

Qualifications

• BLS certification (AHA) required.
• CCM or CPI certification required.
• Avade CCM Training preferred.
• Two supervisor references preferred.

Responsibilities

• Nurse in Behavioral Health unit within a hospital.
• Treats adult patients, with pediatric capability preferred.
• Night shift 3x12-hour shifts, 19:00–07:30.
• Floating within hospital and to sister facilities within 10 miles.
• Cerner charting experience preferred.
• Provide psychiatric nursing care to adults (and pediatric patients).
• Must be available to work every other holiday.
• Must reside >50 miles to qualify for travel rate.
• Local candidates not accepted.
• Travelers may be rotated based on need; schedules not guaranteed.
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and labs must be completed within 24–48 hours of signing.

Responsibilities

• Behavioral Health unit setting within a hospital
• Treats adult patients, with preference for candidates able to also treat pediatric patients
• Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 7:30
• Floating required within the hospital and to sister facilities within a 10-mile radius
• Cerner charting experience preferred
• Provide psychiatric nursing care to adult (and ideally pediatric) behavioral health patients
• Must be available to work every other holiday
• Must reside more than 50 miles from the facility to be eligible for the travel rate
• Local candidates are not accepted
• Former permanent employees must have been separated for at least 2 years to be eligible
• Travelers who have completed a cumulative year within the health system must take a two-year break before returning
• Travel pairs may be accepted based on facility need, though matching schedules cannot be guaranteed
• Fingerprinting, drug screen, and required labs must be completed within 24-48 hours of signing
• All compliance requirements must be cleared by the Wednesday prior to start
