Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Psychiatric RN for a Behavioral Health night shift. The role requires 2+ years of psychiatric nursing experience and KY or Compact licensure.

The position features a 3x12/4x12 night schedule, floating within scope of practice, and travel-friendly terms. Housing and licensure reimbursements are included, with travel reimbursement and per diem options available.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Behavioral Health unit setting.
• Night shift schedule: 3x12 and 4x12 hours, 19:00-07:30.
• Rotating 36/48 schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period.
• Floating within scope of practice.
• Every other weekend required.
• Must reside at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted.
• Bi-weekly orientation schedule.
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if submitted upfront with no changes accepted.
• Must work major or minor holidays during assignment.
• Travelers must take a minimum 6-month break after one year before being eligible to return.

Requirements

• Active RN license (KY or Compact) in hand required
• Current certifications: BLS (AHA) and CPI
• Minimum 2 years of current psychiatric nursing experience required
• Meditech EMR experience preferred
• 2 professional references required: 1 Charge or Higher and 1 Supervisor, both completed within the last year
• Flu vaccine required with medical and religious exemptions considered case by case

Responsibilities

• Behavioral Health unit setting
• Night shift schedule (3x12 and 4x12 hours, 19:00-7:30)
• Rotating 36/48 schedule totaling 84 hours per two-week pay period
• Uses Meditech EMR
• Floating required within scope of practice
• Every other weekend required
• Blocked schedules cannot be accommodated
