American Traveler is seeking a Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a brand new acute inpatient psychiatric facility. Licensed R.N. must hold PA or compact licensure and have recent BH/psychiatric nursing experience.

The role involves 12-hour night shifts (8 PM–8 AM) in an acute inpatient behavioral health setting near Scranton-Wilkes Barre, NE PA. Adolescent services opening later bring expansion; relocation housing and travel support are provided.

Qualifications

• Active PA license or compact RN license required at time of consideration.
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in behavioral health/psychiatric nursing required.

Responsabilités

• Provide care in an acute inpatient behavioral health hospital setting.
• Treat adults through geriatrics; adolescent services opening in April.
• Manage mental health, behavioral disorders, substance abuse, and addictions.
• Maintain patient safety with patient acuity-based staffing ratios.
• Document in Epic; paper charting used for restraints.

American Traveler is hiring a Behavioral Health RN for a 13-week night shift assignment at a brand new acute inpatient psychiatric facility, requiring an active PA or compact RN license and recent BH/Psych experience.

Requirements

• Active PA license or compact RN license required at time of consideration
• Minimum 1 year of recent experience in behavioral health/psychiatric nursing required

Responsibilities

• Acute inpatient behavioral health hospital setting
• Treats adult through geriatric patients, with adolescent services opening in April
• Manages mental health, behavioral disorders, substance abuse, and addictions
• Staffing ratio of approximately 1:20 depending on patient acuity
• Documentation via Epic with paper charting used for restraint procedures
• Medication management through Omnicell with onsite pharmacy open 24/7
• Night shift schedule, 12-hour shifts from 8PM-8AM
• Weekends and holidays assigned as needed
• Facility is brand new
• Orientation lasts 3-5 days and includes complimentary Handles With Care de-escalation training
• Gray scrubs required
• Located in the Scranton-Wilkes Barre Metro area of NE PA, near a ski resort and about 40 miles from the NY-NJ border
• 30-mile radius rule applies for local versus travel pay rates
