Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing-Nursing seeks a travel Stepdown RN for a 13-week assignment in New Haven, CT. You’ll provide specialized telemetry care on a 12-hour day shift, 36 hours per week, starting 10/02/2026.

This role involves monitoring cardiac rhythms, administering medications, and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care. The ideal candidate has 1 year of stepdown experience, an active RN license, and BLS/ACLS certifications.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets cardiac rhythms, vital signs, and telemetry data.
• Administers prescribed medications and treatments with a focus on cardiac care.
• Prepares equipment and assists physician during cardiac procedures.
• Maintains awareness of comfort and safety needs of telemetry patients.
• Observes patient conditions and communicates changes to supervisor/physician.
• Responds to life-saving situations per cardiac protocols.
• Documents nursing history and assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education focusing on cardiac health and risk factors.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Maintains patient confidentiality.
• Performs other duties within the scope of practice.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
