Job summary

Fusion Medical Staffing is seeking a travel nurse RN PCU for a 13-week assignment in High Point, North Carolina. You will provide stepdown care, monitor telemetry, administer cardiac-focused treatments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, patient-centered care.

The role requires 1 year of stepdown RN experience, current RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications; PCCN/NIHSS are preferred. Travel flexibility with competitive pay and benefits is offered.

Qualifications

• One year of recent experience as a Stepdown RN.
• Current valid RN license in compliance with state regulations.
• Current BLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Current ACLS Certification (AHA/ARC).
• Preferred PCCN Certification.
• NIHSS Certification.
• Other certifications and licenses may be required for this position.

Responsibilities

• Monitors and interprets telemetry data and cardiac rhythms.
• Administers prescribed medications with a focus on cardiac care.
• Assists with cardiac-related procedures and examinations.
• Maintains patient comfort and safety for telemetry patients.
• Documents nursing history and physical assessments for telemetry patients.
• Initiates patient education plans focusing on cardiac health and lifestyle changes.
• Collaborates with the interdisciplinary team for comprehensive telemetry care.
• Adheres to safety, infection control, and regulatory standards.
